Martin convinced Gers can mix it with elite

RUSSELL MARTIN insists Rangers should not be fazed by the prospect of joining Europe’s elite in the Champions League.

Gers have had a difficult start to the campaign and it was suggested that - after being out of their depth when they last qualified in 2022 they are ill-equipped for the continent's major competition.

But as he rallied his players for the first leg of their playoff tie against Club Brugge at Ibrox tonight, Martin insisted that making it to the league phase of the Champions League would provide a huge boost.
