Unai to channel anger over loss of Ramsey

- by JOHN TOWNLEY

UNAI EMERY admits he shares the same frustrations his players have publicly expressed about financial rules holding Aston Villa back.

But he has urged them to use those challenges as motivation to achieve the club's lofty ambitions ahead of the trip to Brentford today.

Skipper John McGinn and defender Tyrone Mings both took aim at Profit and Sustainability Rules, which forced Villa into selling Jacob Ramsey to Newcastle for £40m last week.

"A sad day losing a top player and person and one of our own but it seems to be the way football is set up these days," McGinn posted on X.

Mings also posted on Instagram about Ramsey: "Don't wanna hear any bad words or anything negative on this name. You don't know the half."
