MUSICIAN Richard Ashcroft has been banned from driving for six months and made to pay nearly £3,000 after he was caught speeding.

The former frontman of The Verve, 54, pleaded guilty to exceeding a 40mph limit while driving his green Mercedes G-Class when he was stopped last year.
