BRITAIN is gripped by clown phobia - and we don't mean a fear of Boris Johnson.

Londoners topped a nationwide list of searches for coulrophobia, the clinical term for clown phobia, in the past year.

They were followed by folk in Rutland and the Isle of Wight, according to data by Pipers Corner School.
