Just got a text from the NHS. Worked from 15 1/2 years to 70yrs Old. Waiting for a hip replacement, 14 months to see consultant. Question: do you want to stay on the list for a hip replacement. YES or NO? If YES you will be kept on the list. If NO you will be removed from the list. If you do not reply to this text within 14 days you will be removed from the list. Is this the way Wes Streeting is reducing the waiting lists by default. Eg people who don’t get the text or are too old to understand the text.
