AI BOTS are taking over the traditional pub landlord role to run our locals.

Pub chain giant Mitchells & Butlers, which operates 7,000 British boozers, is drafting in machine-learning droids to deal with menus and even customer complaints.

The Toby Carvery, Harvester and All Bar One firm's tech chief Richard Whitehouse said: "We've integrated AI into our menu design process.
