GNOMON (1.55) got bogged down in the mud last time but can spring back to winning ways in the CopyBet Handicap at Haydock.

A bumper winner on his racecourse debut, Ralph Beckett's four-year-old has progressed nicely on the Flat, working his way up to a smooth win at Haydock two starts ago on his handicap debut.

The manner in which he bossed it from the front before pulling away for a three-length win suggested he had a lot more to offer and he can easily be forgiven that flop on heavy ground last time.

It’s a tight little race but early prices around 9-1 are appealing.
