BARRY-MURPHY GEARED UP FOR DERBY DAY
Daily Star
|October 28, 2025
CARDIFF head coach Brian Barry-Murphy has been left under no illusions about what tonight's Carabao Cup tie against Wrexham means to the supporters.
And he admits he can only “dream” of replicating Phil Parkinson's success at the Racecourse Ground.
The League One Bluebirds travel north for a sold-out all-Welsh clash in the fourth round, with both clubs eyeing a place in the quarterfinals.
This will be the first meeting of the two sides in more than 23 years and the Irishman is excited about the occasion.
“By nature, this is a tie where the whole club is really excited,” said Barry-Murphy.
