ALFIE DOUGHTY admits he was in unfamiliar territory when he struck the first half piledriver that ultimately earned struggling Luton a point.

Doughty (above) has been pressed into action further up the pitch under new boss Matt Bloomfield.

And he was determined to show what he can do when he gets a sight of goal.

The Town wideman said: "I'm never really in those positions so it actually quite nice to be there for once.

"The guy dropped off and left me a corridor so I just thought, 'screw it, I'm just going to whack this' and it was a very clean strike.
