A STAGGERING 5,736 pubs, bars and eateries have been lost in a year. 

More than 1,100 disappeared this April to June alone – equal to more than 12 a day.

Since March 2020 – the month Britain went into Covid lockdown – close to 15,000 sites have been forced to close. The huge collapse means the UK is on average losing 5% of its inns and restaurants every year.
