AARON "RAMBO" RAMSEY intends to plot a successful rescue mission at Cardiff to save them from relegation - and then follow in the footsteps of Mikel Arteta.

Ramsey will take charge of his first match as a manager tomorrow after being put in caretaker charge of the relegation-threatened Bluebirds.

Like his Hollywood namesake played by Sylvester Stallone in the 1980s, Rambo's mission is difficult with potentially brutal consequences.

Following their decision to sack Omer Riza yesterday, Ramsey has three matches to try and drag Cardiff out of the bottom three.
