MPs to investigate Andrew mansion deal

MPs are demanding answers over Prince Andrew's rent-free mansion deal amid what they called the "serious and disturbing allegations" against him.

The King is facing mounting pressure over his brother, who it emerged has paid barely anything for his 30-room Royal Lodge in Windsor for more than 20 years.

Now watchdog the Public Accounts Committee made up of cross-party MPs - has asked both the Treasury and Crown Estate to explain Andrew's lease within four weeks.

Andrew has been facing calls to leave the lodge over his links to paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, and the allegations made against him by Virginia Giuffre, which he denies.

Just days ago the King was heckled during a cathedral visit by a protester asking him about disgraced Andrew's relationship with Epstein.
