Four sent off as Scots blow chance of first win of season

EDINBURGH lost a thriller in Munster after having four players sent to the bin.

Sean Everitt's side were well on top for much of the contest as they chased a first win of the season.

But their poor discipline proved costly as the Irish side scored late on to steal the victory.

Edinburgh had lost their opening game of the season away to Zebre. And their first home match against Ulster last week was called off due to Storm Amy.

This, then, was a third chance for them to finally get their campaign properly up and running - and they blew it.

Coach Everitt said: “I'm just really disappointed but proud of the fight that the boys showed on the field and the physicality was outstanding from Edinburgh.

“But you can't play Munster away with four yellow cards. We'll have to have another look at them.”
