Punters could be raising a glass to Aidan's slick colt at Newmarket

- GARRY OWEN

WHISTLEJACKET (4.35) can give Aidan O'Brien more Group One glory in the July Cup at Newmarket.

The colt looked a sprinter going places when caning Billboard Star in a Group Two over track and trip.

He confirmed that impression when second to Babouche in the Group One Phoenix at the Curragh.

And the bay soon made his top-level breakthrough when comfortably denying Rashabar at Deauville.

He then wasn't disgraced in more major juvenile contests back here and at Del Mar last Autumn.

All went to plan when the threeyear-old brushed aside Ides Of March on his comeback at Navan.

He then did well to get within three lengths of Babouche after a string of early setbacks at Naas.

Little went right again for the speedster, sixth in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.

But the Ballydoyle raider made impressive late headway so he can salvage his season with a clear run.

The world-beating trainer can enjoy a double with ITALY (4.0) in the Superlative Stakes. The colt justified short odds by brushing aside Thesecretadversary on debut at Leopardstown.

That was a typical strong Foxrock maiden so the bay can justify the promotion to Group Two level.

DANCING FLOWER (1.40) can blossom for Charlie Appleby in the British EBF Maiden Stakes. The filly makes plenty appeal on debut for a trainer who dominates this type of contest here.

The Godolphin Ace can reign again with BEDOUIN PRINCE (3.25) in the bet365 Mile.

The colt showed class and guts to chin The Cursor over 1m 2f on his return at Doncaster.
