Tragedy of butterfly skin cousin spurs organiser to host event and scale peak

A FUNDRAISER has staged a music festival and plans to climb Africa's highest mountain as part of a charity partnership with the Daily Record.

Laura Forsyth, from Montrose, has volunteered for DEBRA since she was 11, inspired by her little cousin Adana Forsyth, who died after suffering from EB, a condition that results in easy blistering of the skin and mucous membranes. It leaves sufferers covered in agonising sores.

Laura is also the driving force behind the Join Team EB campaign with the Daily Record, aimed at making people realise how much they can help by spreading the word and doing challenges themselves.
