Council calls on people attending anti-asylum hotel demonstration to 'ignore misinformation'

A COUNCIL has warned those set to join an anti-asylum hotel protest to treat “those seeking refuge the same way they would hope to be treated”.

Abolish Asylum System demos are scheduled outside migrant hotels in the UK today, including at the Radisson in Perth and the Hampton by Hilton in Aberdeen.

Perth council leaders have made a statement urging protesters to think before attending. It reads: “We stand united in reaffirming our status as a council of sanctuary.
