Hibs penalty hero McGrath hopes Martin‘ s out-of-sorts Ibrox flops have another Week to forget in cup

- DARREN JOHNSTONE AT EASTER RD

JAMIE McGRATH knows crisis-hit Rangers will turn a corner eventually - he just hopes it is not against Hibs.

The Leith outfit will attempt to reach the Premier Sports Cup semifinal by piling more misery on the Ibrox club next Sar.

Rangers are now without a win in five league games after going down to a 2-0 defeat to Hearts at the weekend and McGrath insists Hibs have to strike while the iron is hot.

And even though David Gray's side were disappointed they could only grind out a point in an edge of the seat 3-3 draw with Dundee United on Saturday, they will still head along the M8 in better shape than Rangers.

McGrath said: “It’s always one of the games you look forward to every year. It's a big away day, it's abig stadium and youlike playing in those games.

“Hopefully we can bring our A game and make it a good match.

“They've been ona poor run, but it has to come to an end at some stage. Hopefully it’s not against us.

“But we can't pay any attention to what they're going through. They're a very good team, they've spent millions and they've quality right throughout the team.

“It’s going to be a very entertaining game, I hope. I'm really looking forward to going there. It's geingto be very, very tough.

“But we'll have a gameplan and give ourselves the best chance going in”
