From combat training to wardrobe challenges, the stars of Robin Hood reveal what goes on behind the scenes

Jack Patten stars in MGM+'s Robin Hood as the legendary outlaw fighting corruption in medieval England.

But the show was filmed far from Sherwood Forest.

"We shot in Serbia for seven months," Jack said. "Serbian winters are quite cold but the summers are really hot. Being Australian, it felt somewhat familiar, though it was tough."

The actor went through a gruelling preparation process for the role. Alongside training with a bow and arrow, he worked extensively on combat sequences and even learnt to speak French. "I had to prep really hard," he said. "The stunts were a big thing I wanted to get on top of. I wanted to become one with the bow and arrow."

For hand-to-hand combat, Jack relied on the stunt team. He said: "I trained with them a lot. I finished a lot of the days sore, but that's what I wanted."
