Truss Reeves to bring chaos to the economy

SO after weeks and months of specula- tion, Rachel Reeves finally published what will surely go down as one of the most chaotic UK budgets in living memory.

It was not quite at Liz Truss levels but it was certainly a shambles.

And while there are things we can welcome - like Labour finally being shamed by the SNP into abolishing the two-child cap - overall this was a really disappointing Budget and a huge missed opportunity which treated Scotland as an afterthought yet again.

On the economy, there was little support for Scotland and it kept in place the tax grab on our energy industry which we know is putting people's livelihoods at risk.

It is no exaggeration to say that this Budget could cost thousands of jobs in Scotland.
