Well-dressed shoplifting group flees store with £4k of gowns

A BRIDAL shop owner has hit out after a girl gang were caught on CCTV stealing £4000 of wedding dresses in a brazen daylight robbery.

The thieves, dressed in trench coats and tailored trousers, can be seen entering Brides in the City in Glasgow's Charing Cross at about 2.30pm on Monday.

The first woman appears to place her finger to her lips, gesturing "shhh", before two others grab an armful of dresses and flee the shop.

Sources claim the gang are part of an organised shoplifting gang targeting retail premises across Scotland.

Brides in the City owner Deborah Mulholland told the Record: "The group of girls came in to our store and were welcomed as usual. They looked well-dressed and presentable so we assumed they were in to browse or buy one of our dresses.
