Stalker banned from contacting ex whinges about 'lies and gaslighting'

A FORMER Glasgow lord provost who stalked his ex-girlfriend posted a "self-pitying moan" on Hogmanay months after his conviction.

Philip Braat hit out at alleged "narcissistic lies and gaslighting" and claimed justice does not exist.

The whining councillor even compared himself to Elton John by insisting he is "still standing".

Glasgow Tory MSP Annie Wells said: "This selfindulgent look back at the year from this shamed former provost is a total insult to the woman whose life he made a misery."

Braat, lord provost from 2020 to 2022, was banned in July from going near his ex-partner for five years after bombarding her with texts and social media messages.

He contacted the woman more than 100 times between and July September 2024 after she dumped him.
