SMALL SHIFT CAN STEP ON GAS FOR HIBS

DAVID GRAY knows the gap between Hibs and Heartsis too big - but insists it only needs small tweaks to get his team heading in the right direction.

League leaders Hearts head to Easter Road for tomorrow's derby 16 points better off than their rivals.

The sight of the current league table is a source of frustration for Gray and the Hibs fans. But the Hibs boss is only focused on what he can control and is adamant that the Leith outfit can start eating into that deficit.

He said: “At this stage and with the amount of games we've played there's still a lot of football to be played. They've been the most consistent team this season, which is why we find ourselves where we are in the league at the moment.

“But one thing that’s been a frustration for us is that level of consistency on results. It’s certainly in there, I've seen the quality that we're good enough.

“We're going toe-to-toe with every single team in the league and we're nearly two rounds in.
