Sean's savouring another glory run in cup after being without a club back in 2017

SEAN WELSH feared injury would end his career seven years ago when it left him without a club and wondering how he'd provide for his family.

It's why the 34-year-old Queen's Park midfielder will urge his younger team- mates to savour every moment as they bid to become Scottish Cup shock troops again in today’s quarter-final against Aber- deen at Pittodrie.

Welsh has become a key player for Callum Davidson's side who produced arguably the biggest upset in the competition’s history when they beat Rangers 1-0 at Ibrox in the last round.

It was another career high- light for Welsh who was part of the Inverness Caley Thistle side who went all the way to the final two years ago.

Those are the kind of days he never expected to experi- ence when he found himself unemployed after being released by Partick Thistle in the summer of 2017.
