Ship ahoy for crisis-hit Glen Sannox

THE crisis-hit Glen Sannox ferry has been declared fit to sail - seven years to the day after it was launched.

Construction of the ferry and sister ship the Glen Rosa has been a major embarrassment for the Scottish Government.

They were to be built for £97million after the contract went to Ferguson Marine yard in Port

Glasgow in 2015 - but the total has soared to more than £400million.
