Kelly admits he's 'raging' at Rangers' performances but says his gaffer is just as angry over how things have gone and that givés keeper hope for the future

- BY SCOTT MCDERMOTT

YOU had to feel for Liam Kelly.

As Rangers' backup goalie, it's not really his job to try and explain why they're currently struggling to string six passes together.

So it can't have been easy, but the keeper has never been one to duck out of fronting up.

What must have made it even more difficult for Kelly is the fact he's a boyhood Gers fan.

If he was in the Ibrox stands instead of the pitch he'd be having his say as well on Russell Martin's predicament.

But he's living and suffering it. Probably more than anyone in the dressing room, he gets it.

He admits he's “raging” at how things are going for Martin's side. But he takes one crumb of comfort.

It’s the fact he sees how angry and disappointed the manager is at recent displays.

Kelly knows it's unacceptable for Rangers to be sitting 10th in the Premiership after five games having failed to win any.

He understands why there are fan protests planned for the Ibrox front door before today's Premier Sports Cup quarterfinal against Hibs.

But he'd be more worried about the situation if he felt Martin was deluded rather than determined to put things right.
