Constitution Hill falls again as Lossiemouth completes Mullins' Grade 1 four-timer

LOSSIEMOUTH capped a Willie Mullins Grade One monopoly in the William Hill Aintree Hurdle to show the battle for the trainers' title is not yet done.

But the prize was left at the grey mare's mercy as Constitution Hill hit the floor 23 days after his dramatic fall in the Champion Hurdle.

As the three-day Randox Grand National fixture got under way, fourth-placed Mullins, who last season became the first Irish-based trainer to land the championship since Vincent O'Brien 74 years earlier, trailed leader Dan Skelton by more than £1.3million. But the gap between the pair now stands at just over £1million after Mullins captured each of the first day's four Grade One contests.
