PRESENTER FLEES STUDIO BLITZ

A STUNNED news anchor had to flee live on air as Israel bombed Iran's state-run TV station.

Debris fell on the presenter while several of her colleagues were also killed last night.

At the G7 summit, world leaders called for a de-escalation in the conflict between Israel and Iran.

Keir Starmer also urged Brits in Israel to register their presence as nations step up efforts to bring back stranded citizens.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy said: "We expect more strikes in the days to come. This is a moment of grave danger for the region." Foad Izadi, professor of international relations at Tehran University, feared there would be "a lot of casualties" following the TV station attack.

Footage showed the building and studios engulfed in flames and black smoke.

Izadi said: "It's a huge building. They were getting ready for the evening programmes."
