FRAUDSTERS stole more than £5000 from a family business in a "terrifying" phishing phone scam.

Mike Dixon, who runs Handmade Craft House in Dumfries with his wife, daughter and son-in-law, was targeted in a call that drained his business and personal account.

The 66-year-old said: "On Monday afternoon, I received a phone call. I feel so stupid, I should have known but the scammer was just so professional and sounded as though he worked for the bank.
