MARY Berry says not a day goes by when she does not think about late son William, who was killed in a car crash in 1989, aged 19.

Britain's queen of baking remembers the happiness he brought her in his short life and counts herself lucky she had two other children to care for.

Dame Mary has enjoyed an incredible career and will be back on screen later this month in BBC series Mary at 90: A Lifetime of Cooking.

Looking back over her life and career as she promoted the show, she said: "I think of William every day. Of course I do. And if he were to walk through that door over there, I would say, 'Where the hell have you been?'.
