Desperate race to find a match for schoolboy to get urgent transplant

A MUM has issued a desperate plea for donors for her schoolboy soon to get an urgent bone marrow transplant.

Dylan Valerio, 10, was diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia after severe bleeding in his gums and after his skin turned yellow at the start of the year.

Doctors initially believed the schoolboy’s bleeding was caused by loose teeth before suspecting he could have leukaemia.

But after being raced to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, tests revealed Dylan was suffering from Aplastic Anaemia - a rare and serious bone marrow disorder that causes low blood counts.
