THE mum of a youngster who died while battling leukaemia has paid tribute to her "happy" boy as she vowed to raise awareness.

Kate Thomson, of Stirling, said the focus is on honouring 11-year-old Lauchlan's memory after he passed away on November 7 following complications with the blood cancer.

She also told of her gratitude over a community fundraiser which has raised more than £11,000 for Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.
