MITCHELL MUM'S BID TO RAISE £20K FOR APPEAL

CONVICTED killer Luke Mitchell's mum has announced a new campaign to set her son free as she posted an open letter to supporters begging for cash.

Corrine Mitchell begged for funds as she announced she has a “brand new, top-tier” legal team to reinvestigate his conviction.

Mitchell, now 36, was caged for life in 2005 for the murder of his 14-year-old girlfriend Jodi Jones in Dalkeith, Midlothian, and ordered to serve a minimum of 20 years. He has always denied any involvement in her death.

Now, the We Stand Together for Luke Mitchell Campaign claims it only has 30 days to raise £20,000 to challenge ‘a grave miscarriage of justice”.
