McINNES: WE WON'T GET AWAY WITH AN OFF-DAY

DEREK McINNES insists Hearts won't have the luxury of an Old Firm off-day if they're to break a nine-year winless hoodoo at Aberdeen.

McINNES: WE WON'T GET AWAY WITH AN OFF-DAY

The Tynecastle boss is adamant his unbeaten side aren't at the same level as Celtic or Rangers of still banking wins while not at the top of their game.

McInnes was manager of the Dons in 2016 when the Jambos last claimed a Pittodrie success and has called on his Premiership table toppers to continue pressing down the pedal on their title bid.

He said: “We've got to accept that as we go along and the unbeaten run stays as long as it is, there's always going to be teams who have that extra motivation to beat us and our motivation has to come with that.

“We've got to make sure that we match that, and we can't be complacent or come off it at any point.
