Rodgers ready to splash out on big guns as he looks for more firepower

BRENDAN RODGERS is ready to roll out his big guns this weekend - as the Celtic boss admitted he's stepping up his search for more firepower.

The Hoops are chasing several targets with Royal Antwerp's £5million-rated MichelAnge Balikwisha and Rapid Vienna's Isak Jansson high up on his wishlist.

Rodgers would love to have new faces on board as they head for training in Portugal.

Celts saw off Cork City 2-1 in Ireland last night with two different XIs in either half.

The Hoops international crew including Kieran Tierney and new boy Benjamin Nygren were still on ice but will be unleashed against Estrella in Lisbon this weekend.

The recruitment drive won't stop meantime and Rodgers said: "There is a lot of work going on in the background and things we're hoping to achieve over the coming weeks.
