Ross: Skippering boys on home soil inspired comeback

ROSS GRAHAM is itching to lead out Dundee United against Rangers on Wednesday night.

The defender was named skipper in the summer, only to then rip his hamstring in a friendly just hours later.

Graham got his first 90 minutes of the season in Saturday draw at Rugby Park.

But captaining the team on home turf remained his goal as he battled through rehab and is now in touching distance.

The 24-year-old said: “That will be a special moment at Tannadice. That's probably been my real driving force just walking out of the tunnel at Tannadice.

“We've got the game against Rangers, so we are going into that with something to prove again.

“We've got a really good side. We've got a lot of good quality in that changing room, so we feel on any given day we can compete with the big boys in the league.”

to get up for games when you play the bigger teams. And probably when youre playing the lesser teams, it’s harder.
