LAURA MUIR signalled she is ready for a World Championship tilt with fourth place in the 1500 metres at last night’s Van Damme Memorial meeting in Brussels.

In her biggest test since returning from injury, a blistering final lap saw the Olympic silver medallist clock three minutes 57.63 seconds at the Diamond League leg.

It was the 32-year-old’s quickest time of the summer as she made up ground on winner Nikki Hiltz.
