Mclnnes delighted with new father Alex and tips recently arrived son to become a Scotland star in 20 years’ time!

- BY CRAIG SWAN

ALEXANDROS KYZIRIDIS was the daddy as he put Celtic to bed and left Derek McInnes claiming his new son could play for Scotland.

But, in Lawrence Shankland, the Hearts manager also has a father figure of a leader doing the damage.

Kyziridis sent Tynecastle into orbit when his brilliant second-half strike restored Hearts' lead and set them up for success.

The Greek star's magic came at the end of a hectic week when he and his wife welcomed a baby boy into the world and McInnes quipped: “There's maybe going to be Kyziridis playing for Scotland in 20 years time! That's why he’s here, that’s why he's in the team, one vone, edge of the box, hes got the quality score as we've seen.

“The second goal was really pleasing for me because we work it from left to right, right to left. Both our strikers are involved in the buildups. A brilliant moment for us, then we stayed on the job and get the third with the penalty”

Shankland sank that spot-kick won by Claudio Braga with aplomb to celebrate his 150th club appearance in style and McInnes praised his skipper afterwards.
