How cops targeted the kerb crawlers

POLICE Scotland have launched a crackdown - Operation Begonia - targeting what remains of street prostitution in our towns and cities.

Since April officers have been tackling kerb crawling through increased patrols, arresting and charging anyone trying to purchase sex.

Kerb crawling is where men approach women in the street in their cars and is illegal in Scotland.

Offenders can be fined and have their cars seized.
