The team, Scott Aiken, Alan Stevens, Alan McLachlan and Ben Robertson, won with a staggering catch of 102 fish and a winning weight of 208Ib.

Second were Kilgennie Fly Fishers and third Menteith Ospreys.

With some typically Scottish August weather, the event — over two days at the Lake of Menteith with a total prize pot of £7400 - was really well run and supported, with teams from all over the UK.

One visiting angler summed it up: “This is one of the most stunning places I've ever seen, It’s a special place, a beautiful place to come fishing. *

Well done to the Lake of Menteith team for all their work, they were alongside representatives from Greys and TV crew under an array of flags as the anglers awaited the shotgun blast to start fishing.
