Punters lap up festival's final day.. but bookies are winners

GERI Horner brought some extra spice to Cheltenham on Gold Cup day.

The singer, 52, was at the course to see her horse Lift Me Up, named after her 1999 solo hit.

Fittingly, a horse named after another 90s song, Wonderwall, won the race, with Geri's nine-year-old coming in 13th.

Another celebrity owner was former football manager Harry Redknapp, who watched Yellow Car come in fourth.

He explained: “Graeme McPherson, the trainer, rang me and said, 'Harry, I've got a nice horse in the yard, it won at Doncaster. Would you be interested? It’s called Yellow Car'.

“I said, 'Not really. I've got a lot of horses at the moment, Graeme'.
