A CHAMPAGNE and beer-soaked Frankie Dettori has said an emotional arrivederci to his fans after riding to victory twice on the final day of his glittering career.
Frankie on his way to victory on Bet You Can
The legendary jockey pulled off his trademark flying dismount after tasting yet more success, firstly on Speak Alpha.
He then topped that win with a fantastic triumph on Bet You Can in the Brazilian 2000 Guineas at the Gavea course in Rio de Janeiro.
The Italian, a three-time Champion Jockey, said afterwards: "I can rest now, whatever else happens today. I couldn't have asked for a better way to finish. From the minute I got on the horse, it has been phenomenal. It's a great place to finish, trust me. I'm very happy."
