Emma needs just 60 minutes to dismiss qualifier in New York

RUTHLESS Emma Raducanu raced into the US Open third round with her quickest Grand Slam win for the second round in a row.

The British No.1 needed 62 minutes on Sunday to notch her first victory in New York since her 2021 title triumph.

And she then went two minutes better by taking an hour to thrash Indonesian world No.149 Janice Tjen 6-2 6-1.

Raducanu has lost only six games at Flushing Meadows but the world No.36 ~ the most famous qualifier in history ~ knows tougher tasks will follow.

She said: “Janice is a super dangerous opponent and is playing real well.
