Met officers looking into claims he tried to dig dirt ón accuser

POLICE are looking for notebooks, emails and phone records from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's personal protection squad.

The Met are probing claims the former prince asked a police bodyguard to uncover private details about sex trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre in a bid to discredit her.

He is also facing pressure to appear before a US Congress committee probing Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.

According to a 2011 email, the shamed ex-royal asked his taxpayer-funded police bodyguard to investigate Ms Giuffre, giving her date of birth and social security number.
