Congreve's impact made switch north bit of a no-brainer

JOEL COTTERILL admitted Swansea City recalled him and sent him up north because they saw the impact Cameron Congreve was having at Dundee.

The Welsh Under-21 midfielder has joined his club and international teammate on loan at Dens Park for the rest of the season.

Cotterill had been farmed out to Bristol Rovers but Swansea brought him back to send him out at a higher level in the Scottish Premiership.

He said: “There was interest from Dundee so I got recalled by Swansea because it’s important for me to take the next step and play at this level.

“Dundee were interested in the summer so it was a good feeling for me knowing they have wanted me for a while.”

Winger Congreve has been a standout for Dundee and helped sell the move to Cotterill.
