Clerkin to face trial on terror charges

A CAMPAIGNER is set to become the first person in Scotland to stand trial for breaking an anti-terror law banning support for a Palestine protest group.

Sean Clerkin will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on January 8 after he was arrested following a pro-Palestine protest in the city in July.

He allegedly displayed a placard reading “Genocide in Palestine Time to Take Action”.
