CELTIC’S BOILING POINT
Daily Record

Never mind the silent protest – struggles on the pitch should send a louder message to the boardroom
ON the face of it, this could be written off as one of those days for Celtic.
They created a whack of chances but a combination of Hibs heroics and a hint of misfortune meant Brendan Rodgers's side drew a blank.
These things happen. Except these things are happening more often for Celtic. It’s become another one of those days.
Celtic fans are starting to feel like they are watching the same old show - but it’s more like reruns of old daytime TV favourite Ready, Steady Cook.
It’s like when big Ainsley Harriott chucked the celeb chefs a budget bag of messages and challenged them to rattle up a slap-up meal against the clock.
That's where Rodgers is right now. He's been handed the Aldi shopping basket and been tasked to turn out Michelin star scran.
And it's not really happening. The ingredients aren't quite right.
Celtic played pretty well on Saturday. It was arguably their best Premiership display of the term so far. But that’s also telling.
It's the mark of champions to play poorly and win. Playing well and not winning is another matter altogether.
It can't be written off as simply a bad day at the office in front of goal when it's clear there's a pattern emerging.
