Bright ideas for fun in Europe's sunniest spot

Winter well and truly arrived in the UK this year, with snow and howling gales, but if you're someone who dreads those frosty mornings, the good news is you don't need to jet to the other side of the world for warmer climates.
And there’s one European destination that needs to be on your radar.Tenerife has been named Europe’s sunniest winter destination, boasting over 800 hours of winter sunshine. The Canary Islands are already firm favourites with sun seekers thanks to their year-round balmy temperatures, but Tenerife stands out, with the mercury hitting 20-21C across January and February.
And while it might not feel warm enough to swim in the sea, it is perfect for a walk along the sand - and Tenerife has plenty of beautiful beaches to enjoy.
