BRAVE ISLA'S £100K RACE AGAINST TIME

THE family of a toddler battling blood cancer are in a race against time to raise £100,000 for lifesaving treatment.

Little Isla Johnstone, three, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia — the adult version of the disease - while on holiday in Romania in August 2023.

Her dad Tom and mum Georgeta Ionita, from Glasgow, took her to a doctor after she lost her appetite and bruising appeared across her body.

A blood test showed she had cancer. Isla has had multiple rounds of chemotherapy, bone marrow aspirations, two stem cell transplants and experimental CART cell therapy.

But the cancer returned each time.
