FOR 119 long days, Kilmarnock captain Brad Lyons has had to endure the frustration and fury of a long, seemingly never-ending, winless run.

Brad has waited long time for Killie to click but it was well worth it for Dons rout

But the Northern Ireland international insists he never had any doubts they would finally end their horror run.

And after this annihilation of abysmal Aberdeen, which could and should have easily been double the eventual winning margin, Lyons is convinced Killie can push on under Neil McCann.

Kilmarnock have had plenty of kickings this season and the table doesn't lie. But this was a near-flawless display against the weakest of opponents who never came close to coping with Killie swarming them from kickoff.

Lyons opened the scoring through Lyons before former Don Bruce Anderson almost immediately doubled it after a whirlwind start.

But while their attacking play will rightly get plaudits, their defence deserves plenty credit too for holding firm just before the interval in the one time Aberdeen had an actual go.

It was summed up by a brilliant headed block by Robbie Deas from a Topi Keskinen piledriver before Killie ran all over the Dons again after the restart.

Tyreece John-Jules sealed the win with a fine third goal after Graeme Shinnie was shown a straight red card.
