Watchdog slaps health warning on unregulated beauty salon jags

SCOTS have been warned against taking part in boozy Botox parties by a private health clinic regulator.

Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) is urging people against undergoing treatment at parties organised with unregulated providers, such as beauticians, where alcohol is being consumed.

And it warned cosmetic treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers and slimming jabs should only be administered by recognised healthcare professionals.
